Welcome to J L Wood Design.  We are Judy and Larry Vierstra from sunny California. We have always had a love for wood, art, and nature.  Whether it be making furniture, remodeling a fireplace with bookshelves, or making intarsia, we both enjoy working together and working with wood.
 

Both self-taught Intarsians, we began making these creations several years ago.  We can be found spending several hours searching for that perfect piece in the wood pile that has just the right color or design that will go into the final picture.  Some of the intarsia pictures are made from purchased patterns, others revised to suit our own taste, and some are from our own original designs.   We welcome custom orders too.
